Supporting the Burke Center for Youth

This cause is deeply close to my heart. Alongside my work as a trainer, I manage the equine program at the Burke Center for Youth, a residential treatment center for boys in Driftwood, Texas.

I oversee the care of 13 horses (and one very friendly goat), including feeding, veterinary/farrier services, facility needs, and lead equine-assisted learning sessions that support the boys’ growth, responsibility, and connection.

Donations help sustain this program and fund essential needs such as feed, veterinary and farrier care, arena and facility improvements, and larger projects like rainwater collection systems. Every contribution helps keep these horses healthy and this program thriving—supporting the boys who rely on it.
